Motor Coach: Craig T Nelson and Matt Kenseth Join Coach T in 2014 Toyota Camry Commercial

What happens when two coaching titans, one of sitcom fame and the other a TV commercial legend, bump into each other?  A lot of confusion regarding who should be called “Coach.”  See for yourself in this new commercial for the 2014 Toyota Camry.

In the ad, Toyota University stalwart Coach T runs into Craig T. Nelson, who played Hayden Fox on the 1990′s sitcom “Coach,” which ran from 1989 to 1997.  We apologize if this seems like a history lesson for any youngsters.  We also apologize if it reminds anyone just how old they are.

The two swap stories for a bit before discussing the elephant in the showroom:  the 2014 Toyota Camry.  In particular, they talk about the Camry SE and its available 268 horsepower V6 engine.  Coach (Nelson) may not race anymore (he used to be an avid race car driver), but he still appreciates the Camry’s available paddle shifters, which provide a more engaging driving experience for enthusiasts.

Much like in the commercial, the 2014 Toyota Camry is capable of zipping around the track–with or without Matt Kenseth.

Current racing expert Matt Kenseth also makes appearance at the end of the spot and looks ready to take the two coaches around the track.  Sun Toyota doesn’t have a track approved for high speeds, but we do have plenty of roads suitable for test drives.  Last month, the Camry sold more than 44 thousand units and beat out all in-class competitor cars.  If you’d like to help out September’s numbers, visit our dealership in New Port Richey today!

  1. I loved this. I love Coach and I see Craig T. Nelson on Parenthood where he is a grandfather and in this commercial, he looks like on older Hayden Fox. It was very cool!
